At a press conference on Monday at Schenectady’s Proctors Theatre, Proctors Collaborative and the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall announced plans to transition to the Tessitura CRM platform beginning in January 2026. The move will unite two of the Capital Region’s leading performing arts organizations under one umbrella, providing a unified ticketing and management system and offering shared benefits for audiences, staff, and the broader arts community.
Tessitura is a nonprofit customer relationship management (CRM) platform originally developed in 1995 for the Metropolitan Opera in New York City. After three years of development, the system became operational in 1998. During Monday’s announcement, Philip Morris, CEO of Proctors Collaborative, noted that the collaboration will not only serve Proctors and the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, but also benefit the Schenectady-Saratoga Symphony Orchestra, Albany Pro Musica, Universal Preservation Hall, Capital Repertory Theatre, and Opera Saratoga. He added that the transition to Tessitura will enhance the patron experience through a smoother online ticketing process, improved communication, and greater access to patron benefits.
New York State Senator Pat Fahy applauded the collaboration, calling it a positive step toward long-term growth and greater accessibility for arts and cultural programming across the region.
In addition to Morris and Fahy, other speakers included President and CEO of the Capital Region Chamber Mark Eagan, Executive Director of the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall Jon Elbaum, and New York State Assemblymember John McDonald.
