PREVIEW: Ritz Carlton Celebrates His New, Five-Star Cassette

Longing to stay at a Ritz-Carlton but, like most people these days, can’t afford it? Boy, does Indian Ladder Farms have a treat for you this Thursday… and we’re not just talking about their cider donuts.
Granted, this has nothing to do with the hospitality industry (though ILF is quite hospitable!)—in fact, the only thing about this that is remotely related to the chain of five-star hotels is the shared name of the artist performing at the farm. That’s right; the self-proclaimed jingle wizard himself, Ritz Carlton, is celebrating the release of a new cassette — yes, they still make those — titled Ritz Carlton Plays the Hits: Indian Ladder Farms Greatest Jingles! and releasing on Cacophone Records.
The five-star tape has been pre-praised as “The jingle album Taylor Swift would’ve made if she had a rubber chicken in one hand and a questionable hygiene routine in the other!” by an unknown source in a press release sent to us via fax machine. We only give out our fax number to people we trust, so we assume this must be legit.
With songs like “Apples and Beer”, “Baby Animal Days” and “Farming Man”, the release is sure to delight local music and farm fans—well worth dusting off the ol’ oversized boombox in your attic for. According to esteemed WEQX personality Jeff Morad, “Some of these jingles have even made it to the Top 5 at 5.” Legendary!
Upping the ante and joining Ritz Carlton for the night is The Sugar Hold, who will not only be performing a set of their own material, but serving as the backing band for Ritz himself. If that doesn’t put a capital P at the beginning of the word ‘Party’, we don’t know what does.
Also available for the event will be your favorite beverages from Indian Ladder Farms Cidery & Brewery and DeFazio’s hot and tasty pizzas from their wood-fired oven, both of which should pair nicely with Ritz’s ear candy. We’re told he is even dusting off his bedazzled, 1970s blue tuxedo, so you have plenty of warning not to wear the same outfit. We wouldn’t want an embarrassing situation on our hands, now would we?
What more can we say? Start the weekend early, and get yourself down to Indian Ladder Farms this Thursday for an unforgettable, jingle-tastic evening. You donut want to miss it.
