“Not only will this night be one of trans expression, it will also benefit the Transgender Law Center (TLC), currently the largest trans-specific, trans-led organization in the U.S.”

Heading into the new year, it’s understandable if you’re still hoping to let out some simmering rage and anger — whether it be at the world around us or your own personal troubles. On January 24, No Fun will become a space specifically designed just for that.

The Trans Rage Showcase, presented by CZR and Wizard Burger, is a collection of trans and nonbinary artists using their music and art to express their frustrations. In recent years, trans and nonbinary people (especially trans women of color) have been targets of hate and discriminatory legislation. Young trans and nonbinary kids continue to face bans on gender affirming healthcare (GAHC) and separation from sports programs. Dozens of states in the U.S. have active or pending bans on GAHC for youth, and even more have pending or active bans on trans people using the restroom of their preferred identity. These vulnerable groups also deal with discrimination and transphobia in everyday comments, shouldering the weight of these attacks while trying to live their true, honest lives. It’s no wonder that an event like the Trans Rage Showcase has developed. There is still much work to be done to address these issues.

Not only will this night be one of trans expression, it will also benefit the Transgender Law Center (TLC). The TLC is currently the largest trans-specific, trans-led organization in the U.S. Their advocacy and precedent-setting litigation victories in the areas of employment, prison conditions, education, immigration, and healthcare protect and advance the rights of transgender and gender-nonconforming people across the country. Through this work and community organizing, the TLC strives to create a better America for all trans people and inform individuals of their rights.

Championing this night of rage, expression, and honesty is DAMAG3, Film and Gender, Trepidition, Dogpisser, and Chaser Bait. DAMAG3 (she/they) is an independent artist focused on building a personal, one-on-one relationship with fans and listeners. She hosts a Discord where she connects with fans regardless of distance. DAMAG3 also makes an effort to talk to anyone who wants to chat after a show, strengthening this connection. She is a self-managed artist funded by donations from fans, and is an example of how trans women in the music industry often have to forge their own paths. Her 2025 album, BLiND, is a mix of electronic and hip-hop influences while still being its own unique work. Their set is sure to be a fun, electric experience that you’ll be sorry to miss.

Joining DAMAG3 is folk duo Film and Gender, New Hampshire’s Trepidition, and local hardcore groups Dogpisser and Chaser Bait. Dogpisser are known for their fast paced, comical political writing and performance. In the spring of 2025, Chaser Bait released a demo EP titled penis atrophy that can be found on their Bandcamp. All of these groups have unique, boisterous styles that will add to the cathartic energy of the event. Each act is also an example of the impact of trans and nonbinary art and its different forms of self expression.

The Trans Rage showcase is an 18+ show or all ages with a legal guardian. Get tickets and information at nofun.com/events.
