PREVIEW: Downtown Troy Set to Celebrate Pride Night Out

06/26 @ Monument Square, Troy

Capital Region residents and visitors alike, mark your calendars! Pride Night Out is returning to Downtown Troy on June 26, bringing an evening full of entertainment, community, and celebration to Monument Square.

Hosted by the Downtown Troy BID, Pride Night Out will run from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will feature live entertainment, drag performances coordinated by Typhoid Mary, music from DJ Phoenix, local vendors, and special promotions from downtown businesses.

One of the event's highlights is the vendor market curated by A Big Gay Market, featuring LGBTQIA+ makers, artists, and small businesses. The organization hosts markets from all across the Capital Region that showcase queer-owned and allied businesses, making it a natural fit for an event centered on community, visibility, and celebration. Attendees are encouraged to spend the evening exploring downtown and the local businesses, as well as celebrating Pride Month in the heart of Troy.

Downtown businesses are also getting involved through the Pride Window Display Contest! Participating storefronts will be decorated in celebration of Pride, and visitors can vote for their favorite display by scanning QR codes located in business windows throughout downtown. The winning business will receive the People's Choice Award.

“Pride in Troy doesn’t belong to any one group, organization, event, or individual — it belongs to everyone,” said Olivia Clemente, Executive Director of the Downtown Troy BID. “Downtown Troy has long been home to a vibrant LGBTQIA+ community, from business owners and artists to residents and visitors. Pride Night Out is about creating space to celebrate that openly, authentically, and together.”

The celebration doesn't end at Monument Square; beginning at 9 p.m., three official Pride after-parties will take place at venues in downtown.

Whiskey Pickle on Fulton Street will host DJ Mercy alongside Noelle Diamond who will be performing, as well as Persephone Pomme, Tachy Cardia, and Rosetta Stoned.

518 Craft on Broadway will feature DJ Lovely Candela and drag performances by Teasy Roosevelt and Queenie Royale.

Mean Max Brew Works on River Street will host DJ Ithika C along with performances from Typhoid Mary, Melina Mauve, and Lady Seanzia.

“Pride Night Out is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate inclusion, community, and all that makes Troy such a vibrant and welcoming city,” added Mayor Carmella Mantello. “We are excited to welcome residents and visitors alike to enjoy an evening filled with pride while supporting the incredible local restaurants, boutiques, and small businesses that help make our downtown so special.”

Deputy Mayor Seamus Donnelly, who helped launch the event, said this year's Pride Night Out will be the largest yet, featuring more than 75 vendors — the most in the event's history!

Whether you're a longtime Troy resident, a first-time visitor, or simply looking for a fun night out, Pride Night Out offers an opportunity to celebrate authenticity, and connect the community while supporting local businesses.

Pride Night Out is free and open to the public. For more information about Pride Night Out and future events, visit downtowntroyny.org/pride-night-out.
