PREVIEW: Cows, Chaos, and ‘I Do’s: June Farms Hits Prime Video on November 17th

“It’s a good balance of a feel-good wedding show mixed with healthy reality TV drama… I was nervous at first, but you really do forget the cameras are there. You can’t pretend forever, so eventually you just become your actual self.”

Goats at the altar. Brides on horseback. A hot air balloon floating over vows.

No, it’s not a fever dream, it’s June Farms, and it’s the Capital Region’s first-ever reality TV show!

On November 17, Prime Video will drop all eight episodes of the new unscripted series, filmed entirely in West Sand Lake, NY at the titular farm, and streaming in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

At the center of the action is Matt Baumgartner, local entrepreneur turned farm and venue owner, and his team of big-hearted, sometimes overwhelmed, 20-something staffers. Together, they face the chaos of delivering one flawless wedding after another, with heritage-breed animals, unpredictable weather, and Matt’s famously high standards always in the mix.

“Each episode is anchored by us delivering a wedding,” Matt says. “Some went very well, some had a lot of challenges. While that’s going on, there’s the difficulty of wrangling animals, getting new employees up to speed, and making sure we’re delivering the quality of weddings I expect. It’s a good balance of a feel-good wedding show mixed in with healthy reality TV drama.”

The season captures it all: a bride riding her horse down the aisle, staff sprinting through sudden downpours, and Shire horses casually stealing the spotlight. It’s the messiness behind the magic, where joy, vulnerability, and chaos collide in the most human way possible.

For Matt, that vulnerability is part of the story. “I was nervous at first,” he admits. “But you really do forget the cameras are there. You can’t pretend forever, so eventually you just become your actual self.” That honesty means the show doesn’t just showcase picture-perfect weddings, but also the people making them happen, flaws and all.

“What I’m most nervous about,” he says, “is somebody not liking me for my actual real self. People have every right not to like me as a boss, but now they’ll see my personal side. I just don’t know how people are going to see it.”

And yet, that’s exactly why June Farms feels different. It’s not polished to death — it’s messy, funny, heartfelt, and real. As Matt puts it: “I don’t care about anything other than pleasing people. The real reward is the joy I see when guests are here. That’s what makes it worth it.”

That’s the show in a nutshell: the pressure, the beauty, the chaos, and the heart that keeps it all together.

So mark your calendars. The weddings, the animals, the heart, and the chaos all land on Prime Video this November. Tune in for the love stories, stay for the mess, and don’t miss the Capital Region’s first big reality TV moment.

June Farms is produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Superluna Studios (a 3BMG company), executive produced by Johnny Gould, Omid Kahangi, Ross Weintraub, and Reinout Oerlemans. All eight episodes premiere on November 17, 2025, exclusively on Prime Video.
