PREVIEW: Concert by Candlelight Preserving the Halloween Spirit

On Halloween night, Mostly Modern Project's FAB5, a string quartet, will be bringing their signature array of genres to Saratoga Springs at 7 p.m. at Saratoga Arts.
The FAB5, led by Broadway violinist Victoria Paterson, will be presenting audiences with a night of ambient fall tunes, accompanied by a sea of candlelight. With selections from their newly released album Unwind, alongside both contemporary classics and fan favorite arrangements from creators such as Bjork, Prince, and Michael Jackson, the Concert by Candlelight event is tailored perfectly to anyone looking for some Halloween fun.
Concert by Candlelight will be directly supporting the work of Mostly Modern Projects, a nonprofit organization aimed at providing diverse audiences and talented musicians with unique opportunities to experience classical music styles. Through community events in Saratoga Springs, New York City, and multiple countries, Mostly Modern Projects aims to connect people with accessible music outside of traditional settings, even expanding to hospitals, children's programs, and senior centers.
“There’s something about live music by candlelight that immediately changes the experience,” says Victoria Paterson, General Director of Mostly Modern Projects. “It feels intimate, a little mysterious and really draws you into the music. We wanted this evening to be beautiful and restorative, but also fun and fitting for October. Most importantly, it’s an opportunity for people to enjoy a memorable night out while supporting the work Mostly Modern Projects does throughout the year.”
Concert by Candlelight will have beer and wine available alongside the candlelight fundraiser, even offering audience members a drink voucher with each ticket. To keep the Halloween festivities going, even after the trick-or-treating is done, Concert by Candlelight is the place to be.
