PREVIEW: The Aristocrats Art Fair Comes to an Exclusive Location in Albany

11/21 - 11/23 @ Undisclosed Location, Albany

The Aristocrats Art Fair Albany, is a new contemporary and experimental art fair opening this weekend. This fair offers a new way for artists to exhibit their work and meet with collectors. The first iteration will be a solo show of the work of artist Rory Golden.

Golden has exhibited and taught arts workshops at over 50 museums, nonprofits and universities. He completed his MFA in Book Arts from the University of Alabama and served as the Executive Director from 2000-2004. While at the Center for Book Arts, he founded CBA’s Artist-in-Residence Workspace Grant including a Featured Artist in Exhibition, the Letterpress Printing and Fine Press Publishing Seminar for Emerging Writers, and the Center Broadsides Reading Series. These programs continue to support artists and writers in New York and beyond.

Golden’s book artworks from his imprint Palmapodoca Press are in numerous collections including Harvard University Art Library, Brown University, Duke University, UC Irvine Library Special Collection and Skidmore College Scribner Library Special Collection. He has received fellowships from Yaddo, the Blue Mountain Center, the National Academy of Fine Arts, The Puffin Foundation and Franklin Furnace Fund.

Golden will be showing new, never-exhibited works in many mediums at the Aristocrats Art Fair. A series of works titled “Purple Love” which Golden produced while in residence at Yaddo in 2019 will be on view. The gallery also features new works of book art by Golden including “Bathroom Reading” (2025) and many more recent works.

All collectors and patrons of the arts are encouraged to visit and view the works for purchase.

All guests must RSVP as the fair has a limited capacity. The exhibition will be held at an exclusive location in Albany. The location will be released only to ticket holders one hour prior to their viewing reservation time. All other details can be found below.
