PREVIEW: 11th annual eastbound throwdown returns with two days of music, camping, and family fun

The Eastbound Throwdown is returning to the Irwin Family Farm, located in Salem, NY for its 11th festival. The self-proclaimed family friendly event will be two days long, from September 11-12, hosting a line-up of country rock, bluegrass, and folk music. The performing bands are split in half with new and returning bands, many local favorites and some traveling from as far as Nashville, TN.
Weekend passes started being sold in April at $100, including two nights of camping. Following the release of the lineup, Saturday passes have been released for $60, camping not included. Children 15 and under are free admission with no ticket needed.
On Friday, the performers are Eastbound Jesus, The Mallett Brothers Band, Neon Moons, The Laura Leigh Band, Chloe Kimes, Turf n Turf. Saturdayincludes Eastbound Jesus, Sicard Hollow, Breakin' Strings, Hilltop, Saints & Liars, Eugene Tyler Band, Eastern Highs, Dan Johnson & His Expert Sidemen.
In addition to the performing bands, DJ Tex will be playing all-vinyl sets of classic country and honky tonk in between the last three bands on Saturday night.
For a second year running, Stephanie Vaus of Sasaphras Yoga will be orchestrating a 45 minute class at 10 a.m. on Saturday before music begins at 11 a.m. The Greenwich Library will be setting up a kid's area throughout the weekend, teaming up with local artist Catelyn McCann to offer craft activities.
A variety of food and drink vendors will be onsite, but guests are welcome to bring their own.
