The “Howlin’ at the Moon” Concert Series, founded by Dale and Joan Wade-Keszey in 2008, is now celebrating its 17th season. Held monthly from May through September, the series highlights local and regional talent across a wide range of genres. Each performance takes place at the historic Mabee Farm in Rotterdam, NY, inside a beautifully preserved 1760 Dutch Barn—a space that both inspires and reminds us of our connection to history.

This month’s concert opened with Everest Rising, the event’s host and tight-knit quintet known for their powerful brand of progressive acoustic music. Headlining the evening was Honeysuckle, the acclaimed upstate New York duo of Holly McGarry and Chris Bloniarz. With appearances at the Newport Folk Festival, Lollapalooza, Mountain Jam, and AmericanaFest, Honeysuckle has earned accolades including Americana Artist of the Year (2019) and Folk Artist of the Year (2018) at the Boston Music Awards.

The “Howlin’ at the Moon” season wraps up with one final show this summer, featuring Belle-Skinner, on Thursday, September 11 at 7 PM.
