PREVIEW: FIREWORKS!


If you’re looking for some places to celebrate this 4th of July weekend near you, here is what you have been looking for. 

In Albany, the multi-platinum 90s rock band Sugar Ray is the headliner for the 2026 Fourth of July Celebration at the Empire State Plaza in Albany, NY. The free event takes place from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with Sugar Ray hitting the main stage at 8:00 PM, followed by the fireworks at 9:15 PM, concluding at 10 p.m.

Celebrate Saratoga is back in downtown Saratoga Springs, hosting a fireworks display starting shortly after 9 p.m., with a myriad of events prior to the showing, including the Firecracker Road Race 4 and live music!

If Saratoga is too out of the way, or if that isn’t your vibe, head to Schenectady for Declaration Day: A Living Tradition, that will be hosting events beginning at 8:30 a.m. with Yoga for Sovereignty followed by Honoring the Roots of Democracy and the Great Law of Peace and many more!

At the Joseph L. Bruno Stadium, the ValleyCats will host the Brockton Rox for a full nine-inning game, the second day of their three day series, on Saturday, July 4, with gates opening at 5:30 p.m. for the 6:30 p.m. first pitch. Postgame fireworks will take place!
