PREVIEW: A Special Screening of Local Short Film Anomaly
07/18 @ Scene One Spectrum 8 Theatres, Albany
Anomaly, a short film written and directed by local filmmaker Ryan Jenkins, will be hosting a “Television Debut Party” at the Spectrum this Friday, July 18th. The event will mark the end of an exciting and occasionally victorious festival run for the locally produced short film.
Anomaly centers on a renowned magician as he presents an unfathomable illusion on his final run of performances. The trick baffles a government agent, played by the local acting legend John Romeo, who becomes hell-bent on uncovering its method.
The “Television Debut Party” will begin at 6:30 pm and will feature a special screening of the short film at 7pm followed by a Q+A session with the filmmakers and an afterparty at the neighborhood craft beer bar, Delaware Supply.
The party, sponsored and hosted by Scene One Spectrum 8 Theatres, will culminate the film’s journey as it will be premiering on Albany’s local PBS station WMHT at 11:00 pm that evening as a part of their TVFilm series. The short film will then be available to stream on the WMHT website for the next three years.
The party is free and open to the public so that local film enthusiasts can see the short film on the big screen before it’s available for streaming. To RSVP please visit: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/anomalys-television-debut-party-tickets-1446934352599?aff=oddtdtcreator
